    External wall insulation (ETICS)

    EPS, mineral wool or wood fibre, designed and installed to current GEG requirements. Scaffold, substrate, insulation, render and paint run through us. On an older building we check which system fits.

    Front doors, windows and roof windows

    Double or triple glazing, frames in uPVC, wood or aluminium, installation to the RAL standard. Modern windows with specialist glass and tight profiles can improve sound insulation by up to 45 dB. One window is possible, and so is replacing all of them.

    Lining the slopes with a vapour barrier, insulation and plasterboard. Roof windows, including the junction and sealing, when light and a tight envelope belong together.

    When the envelope is renewed, radiators and their connections often belong in the same job. We put them in the same fixed price instead of adding a second trade later.

  • WindowsNumber, size, frame material, glazing (double or triple) and security fittings. Material, installation and disposal are separate lines.
  • Doors and roof windowsWhen they are in the job: size, material, installation, disposal.
  • Loft slopesVapour barrier, insulation and lining, when that part is commissioned.
  • Plinth and basement wallWhen commissioned: plinth render, waterproofing, protection against rising damp.
  • RadiatorsWhen they belong to the renovation, as their own line in the same fixed price.
  • FundingKfW and BAFA fund this with a grant or a low interest loan. The amount depends on the programme and the measure. We say what applies. We name a grant figure only once the building and the measure are fixed.

The times already in our figures

  • Facade paint only, on an apartment building: usually 1 to 2 weeks.
  • Facade renovation: 2 to 6 weeks, depending on area and scope.
  • Full external insulation takes longer than paint alone.
  • One standard window: usually one day, including removal, installation and sealing.
  • Insulated loft slopes: a few days, or two to three weeks for a whole room scheme.

What funding changes about the amount

The fixed price is the price of the building work. KfW and BAFA can reduce the share you pay yourself, through a grant or a low interest loan. Which programmes fit external insulation, windows, or both, we settle in the consultation. The grant amount is not a flat figure.

Which buildings this is for Renovario GmbH

  • Older buildings

    Proper external insulation lowers heating costs and raises the property’s value. In most cases it is worth it. We check which system fits the house. Triple glazing is especially worthwhile in older buildings with high heating costs and can pay for itself through lower energy costs and possible grants.

  • Occupied homes

    Facade work happens outside. It can be noisy for a while, and the scaffold blocks the view. The home stays usable. Nobody has to move out for the facade.

  • Listed buildings

    We know the rules of Berlin heritage protection and use mineral renders and paints that suit the building.

  • Berlin and nearby

We hired Renovario for a full renovation of our Altbau apartment in Berlin and we are extremely satisfied with the result. Damian and Kuba managed the entire project very professionally from start to finish. They installed new floors, prepared and painted the walls and completely renovated the bathroom. Communication during the whole renovation process was excellent and we were always updated about the progress. The team worked very cleanly and left the apartment tidy every day. The project was also finished on schedule, which is not always easy with an Altbau renovation in Berlin. Pricing was also very fair. We highly recommend Renovario.

Facade insulation is often €200–320/m² of facade, including scaffold, render and paint. A triple-glazed window, installed, is often €800–1,500. Facade and windows on a detached house together are often €45,000–80,000. Those are component areas, not floor area. The fixed price is for your measures. Advice and the quote are free.
